Xtendlife’s Omega-3 Premium supplement provides numerous anti-aging benefits. The supplement contains the safest fish oil blend with the highest degree of anti-inflammatory activity, plus two unique antioxidants, lycopene and astaxanthin. Here are the benefits of each of those ingredients.

Fish oil has been used historically to treat a number of health problems, including arthritis. Research has shown that it is the omega-3 fatty acids in the fish oil that are of greatest importance to our overall health. The omega-3s include DHA, EPA and DPA.

DHA and EPA are necessary for normal brain function. Deficits in either of the nutrients can lead to depression and an increased risk of Alzheimer’s.

DHA, EPA and DPA contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system. They help prevent blood platelets from sticking together and forming clots. Whereas most dietary fats raise blood cholesterol levels, DHA and EPA have been shown to reduce total cholesterol and increase levels of HDL particles, also known as “good” cholesterol.

New research has shown that women who take a daily fish oil supplement have a decreased risk of breast cancer. Fish oil has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals before they can damage cellular DNA and cause the formation of a cancerous growth. Inflammation plays a role in cancer, as well.

Chronic inflammation and free radical damage are two of the things that cause cellular aging throughout the body…inside and out.

Taking a good omega-3 fish oil supplement could improve your skin’s firmness by as much as 10% after three months of use. Taking one that contains lycopene and astaxanthin can help reverse skin damage caused by sun exposure and reduce DNA damage by as much as 42%.

Inflammation is a cause of skin redness. Inflammatory molecules can eventually damage and degrade the skin’s collagen fibers. The anti-inflammatory activity of fish oil, combined with the antioxidants, can reduce skin inflammation and redness by as much as 42%.

Lycopene is well known for the protection it provides against prostate cancer. It is a unique antioxidant found primarily in tomatoes.

The evidence concerning the reduced risk of prostate cancer is so strong that the FDA has approved a statement concerning the health benefits of the tomato, something that the FDA does rarely. The FDA also recognizes the benefits of fish oil for the heart.

Other benefits of lycopene include a reduced risk of breast cancer, an improvement in skin smoothness and structure and a reduction of skin redness. Increased dietary intake of tomatoes and tomato products containing lycopene is associated with a decreased risk of heart disease, as well.

Astaxanthin is one of the most potent antioxidants. In various studies, it has been shown to improve eye health and reduce eye strain. It acts as a natural sunscreen to help protect the skin from aging caused by sun exposure.

Astaxanthin and fish oil support the body’s immune system function. Both have anti-inflammatory activity.

Astaxanthin has been used to treat and prevent ulcers. It is beneficial for people with heart disease and like fish oil helps to maintain a healthy cardiovascular system.

Research indicates that astaxanthin pay reduce the risk of skin, breast and prostate cancer. It supports the health of your liver and your central nervous system. It has been recommended for people with fertility issues and those with diabetes or pre-diabetes.

You would normally have to take three different supplements to get all of these benefits. Xtendlife has combined the three to make it easier (and more affordable) for you to get the benefits.

The combination also helps to ensure that the body absorbs the nutrients from the supplement. Astaxanthin and lycopene are fat soluble vitamins. The fat in the fish oil allows your body to easily break down and absorb the antioxidants.

This is merely an overview of the benefits of Xtendlife’s Omega-3 Premium Fish Oil. The complete benefits are outlined in some detail at the Xtendlife website.

I would love to take fish oil supplements but everyone I have tried makes me have fish burps. That makes me gag, not a good thing. Will these do that to me?
